Buyer must arrange and pay all fees associated with transportation of the safe from in front of my house to a destination of their choosing, and final unloading. I would require a minimum of 7 days notice. I also agree to arrange to have the safe loaded onto a flatbed located on the street in front of my house (residential neighborhood). Shipping At no extra cost to the purchaser, I agree to crate the safe (using treated 4x4 lumber) so that it can be safely lifted onto a flatbed and off.
The time locks were removed when I bought the safe and I never put them back in. The time locks appear to have been made by S&G, as a set for the Corliss.
All inner gears and mechanisms are in pristine condition. There is a minor repair to a corner of one of the (three) inner doors (seen only from the inside). There also is evidence that the hand crank was welded (before my time). First, I replaced the spinner portion of the hand crank with a section of solid copper bar stock. Wall thickness varies, ranging from 9 - 9.5". Specifications Measures 68" high, 41" wide, 36" deep. This includes five combination locks, two single movement S&G timelocks, a rotating inner ball, a fully operating circular locking cam (C-ring), a gear mechanism to extend (lock) and withdraw (unlock) the C-ring, and a gear mechanism to move the inner ball from the locked (forward) position to the unlocked (inward) position, and an inner ball which rotates 360 degrees and locks in place in the appropriate locations.
This model appears to be a Mosler model made somewhere between 1895-1920-likely in New York. General The Corliss Safe Company, incorporated in 1877, made safes under it's own name (and it's own facility in Auburn, R.I.)) until purchased by Mosler in 1895.
